Your calculations stay private

Everything you type into our calculators (loan amounts, income, interest rates, etc.) is processed entirely in your browser, we never receive it, store it, or have any account or server holding it. We do, however, use third-party advertising and analytics services that set cookies and collect standard usage data, exactly as described below.

1. Information We Collect

Data you enter into calculators. Loan amounts, income, interest rates and similar inputs are processed locally in your browser. This data is never transmitted to us, is not stored, and is cleared when you close or refresh the page.

Automatically-collected usage data (via third parties). Like most websites, when you visit FinoMeter our third-party providers (listed in Section 3) automatically collect standard technical information, which may include your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising.

2. Cookies & Similar Technologies

FinoMeter does not set its own first-party tracking cookies. However, the third-party services we use do set cookies and similar technologies on your device, in these categories:

  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how the site is used (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Umami).
  • Advertising cookies: used by Google AdSense and its partners to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites.

Google AdSense

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its partners (third-party vendors) use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager) to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. Google's use of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Umami Analytics

Umami is a privacy-focused analytics tool used for aggregate, anonymized visit statistics.

4. Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform) before non-essential advertising and analytics cookies are set, in line with the GDPR and Google's EU User Consent Policy. You may grant or refuse consent, and change your choice at any time via the privacy/consent option on the site.

  • Manage or block cookies in your browser settings.
  • Opt out of personalized ads via Google Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info.
  • EEA/UK/Swiss users may withdraw consent at any time and exercise data rights under the GDPR.

6. Children's Privacy

FinoMeter is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
